Cooking Mama Lesson 1 - Cupcake

Tada! I'm not lagging behind. I'm gonna jot down when I did this week! Without study, I have more time to laze around. hehe...

Friday, Irene (my ex-boss) and I went for a cupcake class at Little House of dreams located right at the Basement of Clarke Quay The Central!

The place is quite small hence the class is around 12 people only.
The place is very pretty! Very nicely decorated! Saw the cakes that they customise, very unique and pretty!
My favourite - Rosette Ombre Cake!!! PRETTTTY!!!!

What we learnt was Vanilla Cupcake! The class was very helpful, explaining each and every step of how to do and what to look out for to see if you can continue to next step. The teacher also comes round the table to make sure we did it correctly and each step texture is correct.

After that, she taught us how to fold the piping bag.. so that it doesn't flow the other way out.

And us filling up the lining tray without any mess! :)

After that, while the cupcake was baking in progress, she taught us nice and cute 3D decos! We learnt how to make a flower, ladybug, caterpillar! Mine was successful! hehe... Didn't put alot of deco  cause it's sweet and I wanna try my original taste of the cupcake. But I love my flower that I made! *beams*
GH tried and it tasted good too! Not very dry. He finished 4! :):):)

Shall try going for some chinese cooking classes... and shall start baking for some of my lovely friends!!!!
READ: RSVP! teehee... although Yuez might not eat.. hurhur... I'll force her! :D

"Unleased" Wilber Pan 20.07.2013

Last weekend went to Wilber Pan Wei Bo's concert at The Max Pavilion! It was a free ticket from GH's friend because I was told the response wasn't very good. Apparently, 8 tickets from him was given out so we sat with his friend's relatives I think.. cause only 2 of his other friends were interested. lol.

And linx told me his birthday is the same date as me!!!

The turnout honestly didn't seem very good. We were seated at Cat 2, so it's very front of the stage (T-shape stage). Behind us, there were many empty seats. And think the whole hall was half filled only.

So when the concert began, everyone behind starting crowding in front espcially when he came towards the front of the stage. I think  those who went were really fans of his, cause the screamings were as good as full house concert! And guess it's more happening than the usual like Jay's cause everyone was "properly behaved" .. haha..

He was sick and having a sore throat so I think some parts were slightly deeper and hoarse than the usual music.

Overall, it was happening! And I realised there were ALOT of songs that I've never heard of!
But I think I was better than the 4 of us who went. heeeheee...

My pictures isn't good cause he kept walking.. I saw one of my FB friend who used those DSLR, could capture him perfectly when he was walking!!! So below are some of the photos I took from his FB.. opps!
(Credits to Teck Chiat)

There's this part where he ask someone from the audience to come up and he sang a love song to her and sat at the stage (below)! Think she's from the fan club (looking at the orange T-shirt).. but I dunno what's the purpose... haha..

He threw like 2 used towels and 1 water bottle (drank).....

July Rush

July has been a gear 5 speed mode that now I finally have some me-time to slack at home.

After the Bangkok trip with the girls, right very next day was a birthday party of my ex-colleague's baby.
Because the flight was around 8plus, by the time I got home was already 1plus.
Bathed and settled down to bed was 3am.....
Had to wake up early to the party...

GH came over and gave me my favourite flower! Sun shine on my butt already. -.-. haha..
:) Thank you.

The cake was huge! But it was supposed to be Hello Kitty figurine but the cake shop got it wrong. Boo hoo!

I love the ballons!!! So cute!!! Although i'm not a  Hello Kitty fan, but I still like it! Feels like a kid again! :)

Went to watch The Rooftop by Jay Chou later in the evening. It was good! Musical movie sort of. Cause alot of singing. Overall, I like it!!! :):):)

Just yesterday went to Wilber Pan's concert, but pictures not uploaded yet. Shall do so soon!

Have been feeling easily tirred these few days. Even Slept earlier for the past week didn't help. Felt my heart beat slower. Couldn't do long running as well. And I noticed myself remembering things more difficult. Can easily forget things.
My dad has been very caring towards me, cooking lots of nourishing soups for me to drink. I make it a point to go home to eat. I still love home cooked food and the time spent together eating with family.
I sometimes dream that I can sleep and didn't wake up the next day... so made me even more scared.. so i treasure even more.

Shall update soon again! :)

Land of Smiles: Bangkok Day 3&4

Day 3 was practically just shopping!!! We all woke up at 7AM to shop the morning markets just behind our hotel!
After that went to Platinum Mall to continue shopping. Our whole day was so shag that Via and I went to massage at night.
It was the traditional thai massage which I don't usually take. But still via was doing then I did the same.
All the cracking was pain! But the next day when I woke up... I didn't feel any aching!!!
We even went for the gym the next day!

Our last day was without Linx as she went to meet with her friends.
We packed and check out before heading to Siam Paragon. Had Fuji for lunch!!! And we managed to get Yuez to take the tuk-tuk!!!!
We were short of time so taking tuk tuk was the best!

The two photos were after all the retakes where all our hair was so messy from the ride. Took both when the tuk tuk stopped!
Another tourist shot! :) Proof of Bangkok!

Our lunch had to wait around 20min so we walked around the basement and saw soome local delights! Finally Yuez got a taste of local food cause she don't dare to eat roadside food. Crispy coconut pancake.

I love garlic rice!!! Its just so nice to eat it on its own! Fuji prices are cheap and it taste good so I always have this when i'm in Bangkok.

After that, we went back to the little road shop to get some souveniors done for Yuez. We did ours the previous day.
So because it took 1 hour to get it done.... we went for our dessert... Mango Tango! Super long queue!!!! But luckily it wasn't a very long wait.

My love for Mangoes! Good!!!!! Must eat!!!!

That sums up our holiday trip!!!!
Had lots of fun and hopefully the next one will be soon!!!!!

xoxo

Land of Smiles: Bangkok Day 2

Before I start Day 2, if you see my previous post of Day 1, I was talking about the craziness of us buying Macdonalds for supper just to collect the minions...
Can't seem to upload the video of us playing the minions though. x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x DAY 2!
Pratunam Wonton Noodles (Saeb X2 Wonton Noodles) Address: Front of Soi Phetchaburi 15, Pratunam, Bangkok The popular wanton mee in Bangkok. Decided to give it a try since everyone is raving about it. Had it for breakfast because they closed ealrly at 4pm so couldn't eat it for lunch yesterday. It's very easy to find. Just behind our hotel!!! Opposite Platinum and spot Macdonalds! The portion is quite small, the noodles is okay... overall i think it's overated. haha. That's my opinion la. After that we headed to Siam Paragon for a tourist day! We went to Siam Ocean World! Lots of nice creatures, similar to the new Singapore Aquarium too. Per tix was 700Baht on a promotion price. Original price was about 1,00baht i think.
They had the starfish touching session too! similar to Singapore! The feeling of starfish is like a stone feeling. Quite hard. But was told (in Singapore) that although it's hard, we cannot press hard too.
Saw huge stingrays and sharks along the travellator. It looks like our previous Underwater World... which I can't remember when was the last time I went. Opps.
Ended everything with our dear Yuez tourist shot! Haha... I'm always making her do tourist shot. :):):)
Linx had the Chocolate Implosion. Chocolate egg with red velvet cake and almond sauce served with magnum vanilla and icing-covered fruits. I personally think this was the best among all our popular dish we ordered. The velvet cake inside was good!

Yuez's monsieur crepe suzette. Crepe with orange reduction sauce flambe served with magnum brownie and signature moustache- shape biscuit.
Via's j'adore les bananas. Crepe with caramelised banana served with magnum strawberry and caramel biscuit.
Using a knife to eat ice cream. first time ever! lol...
My toasty francais. Chocolate french toast served with magnum vanilla and strawberry flambe.
Shall try other cafes when I go back to Bangkok!
After that, we shopped around Siam before having an early dinner at a Thai restaurant recommended by Via. Very authentic. Thai setting and the smell also very thai.... haha.. And because we were full from the Magnum, and we were saying we are VERY full and let's not order so much... we still ended up ordering... 6 dishes!!!! -.-"""
Luckily we managed to finish up all of it. I love the Pineapple fried rice!!! Yums!!!
We headed to Union Mall which is near Chatuchak. Took the train (my first time!) because the traffic was starting to jam so take train faster. Shopped there, got some loots before heading back to hotel. Again... couldn't go the bar cause it's raining!!!!
